При установке роли WSUS сервер проверяет обновления и процесс установки прерывается. Никакой конкретной информации об ошибке не выводится. Если отрубить инет от сервера, то установка виснет на этапе поиска обновлений(хотя до этого я устанавливал данную роль на другом сервере и без интернета). На компьютере два сетевых адаптера(хотя это вряд ли имеет отношение к делу). Ниже привожу кусок из лог файла, касающийся этапа установки..

I had a problem re-installing WSUS 3.0 SP2 on a Windows Server 2008 R2.

When the installer was on the same step of «Configuring the Database,» the installer produces the error message:

«There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.»

Then it proceeds with the rolling back action.

After many searches on the Internet — with no success, I went back to my logs and noticed the errors had «Target=C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.7.2053\InstallUtil.exe» in their syntax,
as shown in this log extract after a failed reinstall of WSUS 3.0 SP2 on Server 2008 R2 with .Net Framework 4.7 installed:

After verifying WSUS was synchronizing, I downloaded and installed the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7 (Offline Installer) for Server 2008 R2 SP1 so Powershall 3.0 would work.

In Summary, WSUS 3.0 would not install on Server 2008 R2 SP1 if .NET Framework 4.7 is installed.
