Как установить Skype в Debian
Сегодня я расскажу как установить skype в debian. Скачиваем скайп с официального сайте — скачать . Из списка выбираем «Скачать скайп для Linux DEB». Ждем когда закончится загрузка.
UPD. Microsoft обновила версию скайпа в том числе и для линукс дистрибутивов на базе дебиан. Теперь не требуется добавлять поддержку 32 битных систем. Нужно скачать с официальной страницы пакет «DEB» перейти в папку с пакетом с помощью команды:
и установить командой:
Если в вашей системе не установлен пакет apt-transport-https предварительно установите его командой:
После этого запустите скайп и можно пользоваться.
Что бы скайп нормально работал в 64-битной системе добавьте потребуется добавить поддержку 32-битной архитектуры и установить дополнительные пакеты. Для запустите терминал и укажите:
Обновите список пакетов:
Теперь установите следующие пакеты:
Теперь перейдите в каталог в который скачали скайп. Будем считать, что это каталог «Загрузки»:
Установите скайп командой:
Если скайп не запускается выполните команду:
Все, теперь скайп в дебиан установлен и можно пользоваться.

Подскажи пожалуйста как его установить на debian 32 бита. На сайте скайп предлагает пакет .deb для 64 битных систем(((( выбора теперь нет там(((((
@Игнат, Если производитель не предлагает более 32 битную версию то никак. Я перестал пользоваться скайпом поэтому не знаю уже как у них, что.
Зачем такие сложности? Как тут уже писали выше, предлагается только 64-битный вариант. Я просто думал, что просто параметры машины сайт снял, и предложил под неё. Так на многих сайтах производителей бывает. Но там есть и предложения для других архитектур и ОС. Но даже для gdebi skypeforlinux-64.deb я ставил так:
gdebi skype(что-то там ещё).deb
В моём случае было:
gdebi skypeforlinux-64.deb
С установкой поддержки архитектуры gdebi i386 не заорачивался — gdebi тянет за собой все зависимости. И даже если использовать для установки dpkg, то после этого можно выполнить команду apt install -f(в последних версиях можно уже не набирать полностью apt-get) и зависимости дотянутся сами.
Обратите внимание на дату поста. На тот момент не было 64 битной версии. Как уже написано выше не пользуюсь более скайпом. И если у них сейчас есть 64 бит то рад за тех кому он еще нужен задача упростилась.

https://web.skype.com is in Beta. You can use Skype Web on Debian to chat with your Skype contacts though. Assumes you use a modern Debian web browser such as firefox-esr (for text chat) of chromium (for voice calls).
It is easy to get started without any installation when using a separate Chromium profile for Skype by creating this skypeweb.desktop file:

Note: During the installation the repository https://repo.skype.com/deb was added. In the future Debian will automatically check if a new version of Skype is available. If you configure your Package Updater appropriately you could get automated updates.

To automatically open Skype at boot and log-in, using Tweak Tool:
