After hours of research on internet I just don’t know what else to try
I am aware that this error is related with the Visual C++ packages (I guess), but I can’t seem to find the solution
My notebook is a Lenovo (G470) with Windows 10 Pro 64 bits and a 64 bits Intel processor.
This pc came with Windows 7, and I updated to Windows 10 (ultil that moment the application was working normaly), three days ago due to a series of problems I decided to reinstall windows with the option to keep my files and was from that moment when the application stop working, after installing and reinstalling all Visual C++ packages that I found and don’t came up with results I decided to do a clean instalation from scratch; few hours later, when the system was up again, I was facing the same issue again, even installing Visual C++ 2005, 2005 SP1, 2008, 2008 SP1 y 2010 (x86 y x64 todos). I don’t know what else to do.
The application event log says this:
«Activation context generation failed for «C:\GameKing\DMO\DMLauncher.exe». Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.MFC,processorArchitecture=»x86″,publicKeyToken=»1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b»,type=»win32″,version=»8.0.50727.6195″could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.» The ID is 33.

I have already tryed launching the program with compatibility, as administrator, reinstall it, update Direct X, NET Framework and Windows itself and nothing worked, in my desktop pc with a AMD x54 and also Windows 10 64 bits the applications works fine.

Side by side configuration is incorrect windows 10

I’m attempting to build a website using VWD 2010 Express that uses a SQL Server CE 4.0 database. It is working on my development system, but when I publish the project to a hosting server I get the following error.
My searches seem to point to the possibility that the Visual C++ Redistributable is not installed on the host server. Could this be the source of my error, and if it is how can I resolve it? Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Good Morning again,
I called my hosting provider to ask about the C++ redistributable. They said that they do not provide it on a shared hosting environment. So, if that is my problem, I’ll either have to make it part of my project and upload it to the server or find a new hosting provider.
Thanks for your assistance. The bin folder did have the structure and files as directed in the link you provided. In addition the bin folder included Toys files which is the project name and WebControlCaptcha files for a captcha control. I also checked files and structure on my web hosting server. There is a one-to-one match between my development system and host server bin folder.
Yet the error remains! I am including the bin folder file structure and files; I’m also including the web.config file in case I’ve mess it up. I do appreciate your assistance, thanks again.
I should have included the contents of the App_Code and App_Data folders in my previous post. They may contain clues as to the source of my problem.
Again thanks for your assistance, but I have taken a step backwards. Now the project will not compile; here is the error message:
Compilation Error
Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately.
Compiler Error Message:
Source Error:
Source File: c:\Users\Bernie\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects\Toys\Toys\App_Code\SqlCeMembershipProvider.cs Line: 939
I’m also including the structure and files from a portion of the Solution Explorer
I really do appreciate your assistance; I’ve been trying to get this project published for about 4 weeks. I feel like the proverbial monkey, who given a typewriter and enough time could produce the Gettysburg Address.
I thought that I’d attempt to create a simple website without the complication of security and role management. The website has a Default.aspx webpage, and a SQL Server CE 4.0 database with a single table. The webpage contains a gridview and datasource and it has worked from the beginning without error. I have added to the bin folder the amd64 and x86 folders and populated them with the dll’s and C++ runtimes you previously suggested. I added the System.Data.SqlServerCe to the system resources and set the CopyLocal parameter to True. When this project is published the server bin folder contains the System.Data.SqlServerCe.dll as well as the files and folders that exist on my development system.
The rub is the error; I cannot publish the simplest website with a SQL Server CE database! When I attempt to open the site I get the following error:
I would greatly appreciate any help that you could offer.
I need to start at the beginning. I can publish a project that does not have a SQL Server CE data base. As soon as the database is added to the project I cannot find how to successfully publish it. Since the latest error is different than the one in my original thread, I’m going to open sa new thread. Thanks for your assistance; after I get this simple database project working I’ll need to return to one with security.
You need to add this to web.config:

If repairing or reinstalling the application doesn’t help try doing the same with Microsoft Visual C++ packages. Open Settings and navigate to System, then choose Apps & features.
Find all Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall them one by one. Then, you need to download the Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package.
If you’re still using 32-bit version of Windows remember that you only need to download packages with x86 in its name. Install all the packages and restart your Windows 10.
