Synaptics Touchpad driver V7.5 on my Samsung NP 350V5C-A01CA

1. Did you check for the optional diver and firmware updates at the time of installing updates?

2. Did you check with Samsung support for the compatible drivers for Windows 8.1?

It seems the drivers are only available for Windows 7.

For further information, refer to the Samsung Support link and check.

However, let’s try the following steps and check.

Windows Update doesn’t install optional updates automatically, but will notify you when they are available so you can choose if you want to install them.

If you haven’t checked for optional driver updates, check for the same and see if you get the synaptic driver.

a. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings , and then tap Change PC settings .
(If you’re using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, click Settings , and then click Change PC settings .)

b. Tap or click Update and recovery and then tap or click Windows Update .

c. Tap or click View details , and tap or click Check for updates . (If you don’t see View details , there aren’t any optional updates available.)

d. Under Optional , tap or click the update that you want to install, then click Install .

Read and accept the license terms, and then tap or click Finish if the update requires it. You might be asked for an admin password or to confirm your choice.

You may also try to manually install the driver.

Не корректно работает Тачпад на ноутбуке Samsung Windows 10

Обновился до Windows 10

И заметил не корректную работу тачпада ноутбука.

Драйвера тачпада пишет, что не нуждаются в обновлении.

Заснял видео. Качество не очень, но думаю суть проблемы видна.

Буду признателен за помощь.

Method 1.

I would suggest you to completely uninstall the touchpad driver and reinstall it.

Follow these steps.

Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.

In the list of devices, you should see the touchpad drivers.

Right click on the device and then select «Uninstall».

In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.

In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes” option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.

Method 2.

Further, if there no updated drivers available on the computer manufacturer’s website, then download the latest drivers and try installing it in Windows 8 compatibility mode. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

a. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.

b. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.

c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
