How to Update Device Drivers

There are two ways to update drivers.

Option 1 (Recommended): Update drivers automatically — Novice computer users can update drivers using trusted software in just a few mouse clicks. Automatic driver updates are fast, efficient and elimate all the guesswork. Your old drivers can even be backed up and restored in case any problems occur.

Option 2: Update drivers manually — Find the correct driver for your Camera and operating system, then install it by following the step by step instructions below. You’ll need some computer skills to use this method.

Option 1: Update drivers automatically

The Driver Update Utility for Panasonic devices is intelligent software which automatically recognizes your computer’s operating system and Camera model and finds the most up-to-date drivers for it. There is no risk of installing the wrong driver. The Driver Update Utility downloads and installs your drivers quickly and easily.

You can scan for driver updates automatically with the FREE version of the Driver Update Utility for Panasonic, and complete all necessary driver updates using the premium version.

Tech Tip: The Driver Update Utility for Panasonic will back up your current drivers for you. If you encounter any problems while updating your drivers, you can use this feature to restore your previous drivers and configuration settings.

Double-click on the program to run it. It will then scan your computer and identify any problem drivers. You will see a results page similar to the one below:

В общем, неприятная ситуевина — в очередной раз решил пополнить семейный архив и скачать накопившееся видео на винт. Вдруг оказалось, что фирменное ПО порнослоника не желает работать под семеркой.
Задал вопрос на сайте порнослоника, получил такой ответ:

Уважаемый Андрей,
Благодарим за выбор и использование техники фирмы Panasonic!

Сообщаем, что, к сожалению, видеокамера модели NV-GS230 не поддерживает работу с OC Windows 7.

Конечно, порнослоник поступает по-свински, но мне от этого не легче.

А зачем надо фирменное ПО(его никогда и не ставил), это же обычная минидиви. Или вин7 не умеет минидиви

Нефирменного не знаю. А как Win7 может уметь минидиви?

Так же, как и XP. Подключаем веревкой 1394, в системе появляется устройство видеозахвата — камера. И любой софт может с него захватывать.
Драйверов на камеру не надо. А если минидиви пытаемся через USB прицепить, то ССЗБ.
Софт обсуждали в ветке по оцифровку VHS.

Openreel, спасибо, я и забыл, что на камере есть разъем DV. На ХРюше с фирменным ПО все работало через USB.

Купил веревку, подключил камеру. В системе ничего не появилось. Где искать-то?

А софт какой? В виртуалдабе надо отдельно выбрать девайс захвата видео и отдельно аудио, в меню самого виртуалдаба. При подключении камеры там в меню появляется новый девайс. Камеру на плей ставить кнопками на камере.
Теоретический под ХП можно было заюзать виндовый мувимейкер, оно для блондинок создано, сам ни разу не пробовал.
Как оно живет по 7кой — не знаю. У мну один комп с вин7, и там нет 1394.

Таки Вы будете смеяться, но у мну на материнке не оказалось контроллера 1394 и разъем на корпусе просто висит в воздухе. Сегодня смотаюсь, куплю писиайный контроллер 1394.

Если есть опыт работы с виртуальными машинами, то это тоже вариант по USB со старым софтом.

Контроллер купил, установил, всё запустилось.

Еще бы понять, какую в виртуальном дубе нажать кнопку, чтобы на записи отображались время и дата съемки.

Обычно спрашивают кнопку,чтобы убрать таймкод, не знаю, зачем его добавлять?
Плагинов к дабу существует море.
вот парочка

Add Frame Numbers (0,093 Mb) — Достаточно продвинутый фильтр с множеством настроек для добавления в видео счетчика кадров, времени видео, и текущего времени. Настраиваемые начальные значения для отсчета, а так же интервалы времени. Позволяет выводить несколько счетчиков. Полностью настраиваемое расположение, шрифты, цвет и тд.

Alidator Filter (0,015 Mb) — Простейший фильтр, просто добавляет внизу видеоизображения текущую дату и время в формате «dd.mm.yyyy hh:mm:ss». Настроек не имеет. Ресурсов практически не требует, поэтому будет особенно полезен при захвате видео.

Походу придется еще и изучать как грамотно жать видео, как его обрабатывать.
Я бы тайм код добавлял только в виде титров, или если в какой динамичный момент оно надо — то только в некоторые эпизоды.

Если есть время, то лучше книжку почитать по основам работы с камерой, чтоб не делать 99% граблей, которые делают все любители.
