We have a mixed environment of Windows and Novell servers. All of our workstations are running Windows XP SP2. We are currently running Novell client 4.91 SP4 for user login. NMAS client 3.4.00. All of our printers reside on Novell (iprint) servers.
We are planning to upgrade all our workstations to Windows 7 this year.
Here are my questions:
1. Do you know if Windows 7 offers a Microsoft client for Novell that could be used in lieu of installing the full Netware client?
2. We currently authenticate through Novell first and then windows. With Windows 7, is there are way to authenticate to Windows first and to Novell in the background?
3. If number 2 is possible, what happens (if anything) to printing? Would we be able to continue to use Novell printing or would we have to switch over to Windows printing?
I appreciate any info you can provide. Thank you.

Hi Myron, I want to inform you that Novell client is not a Microsoft product, I suggest you would better to ask Novell for further help:
Anymore, after I have searched, Novell Client 2 SP1 is support to Win7 (x86 or x64)(Ultimate Edition, Enterprise Edition, or Professional Edition), and for your answer NO.3, : Only iPrint Client 5.20 or later can be installed on a Windows 7 Machine to support printing to Novell iPrint. Thus you may need to upgrade your Novell iPrint. Please refer: Installing the iPrint Client

Novell is now part of Micro Focus. Products across the portfolio are now being rebranded to reflect Micro Focus or a more appropriate name. This corporate change impacts the name of products and components, user interfaces, logos, and so on. The documentation update to reflect these changes (such as names and screenshots) is being done in a phased manner.
As a result of this corporate change, the new name for Novell Client is Client for Open Enterprise Server. Until all the guides in the documentation library are modified, Novell Client and Client for Open Enterprise Server are used interchangeably.

Я прошу прощения, но не могу найти на download.novell.com указанной версии клиента: Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows 7 IR7a . Там для Novell Client 2 SP3 есть ровно одно предложение, без всяких IR:

Хотя у меня у самого давно скачан и используется Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows 7 IR6 , а сейчас я его там не вижу. Куда IR-ы SP3 делись? Может, отозвали?
— чудеса. Всё-таки, не зря эта версия исчезла, почитал, что люди с ней уже на какие-то ошибки нарвались, в дополнение к твоим.

Народ — вы как-то слишком серьезно к этому относитесь .
Тут вроде как апдейт, но так же и полный продукт (можно ставить с нуля).
