Amazon assistant — can’t remove

I can’t uninstall Amazon assistant from Windows 10 via control panel and it is causing problems every time I start up my laptop. It seems to be trying to do something in the background. When I click on uninstall it only shows ‘change’ and then comes up with install wizard. When I try and remove it says I can’t because I’m not the administrator (which I am!)
