How does billing work for the subscription license?

The SPSS Statistics subscription can be purchased as a monthly or annual subscription and is charged at the beginning of the billing period. As a first-time IBM Marketplace customer, you can pay with Visa, Mastercard or American Express. If you’re a returning customer, you can pay with a credit card, purchase order (PO) or invoice. You’ll be automatically billed on a periodic basis according to the terms of your subscription. If you pay by invoice, you’ll get another invoice automatically.

How do I buy an add-on if I already have a Base subscription?

Log in to your My IBM account and click the “Manage” button next to your SPSS Statistics listing. On the overview page, find the “Upgrade or change plan” section, click the “Make changes” button, and follow the instructions on the next page. If your Base plan has been canceled you won’t be eligible to purchase add-ons.

What licensing options, other than the Base subscription, are available?

How do I cancel my subscription license?

To cancel your subscription, log in to your My IBM account. On the products page, click the “Manage” button next to your SPSS Statistics subscription listing. Next, click the “Cancel plan” link on the overview page. You’ll then be sent an email confirming your termination date. You’ll have access to your subscription until the termination date. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial subscription periods.

If online cancel is not an option for your subscription, you’ll be provided with a link to contact our eCustomer Care team who will assist you with cancellation.

If you purchased an SPSS Subscription from a third-party reseller and wish to cancel your subscription, you may need to contact them or use their self-serve cancel option on their website or portal.

How do I add users to my subscription license?

Log in to your My IBM account. On the product page, click the “Manage” button next to your SPSS subscription listing. Then, click on “Manage users” from the left side menu. Click on “Add new user” located on the upper right-hand corner of the user table. Fill out the user name and IBM ID or email address, then click “Submit”. The new user will receive an email invitation to use the service.

Is product technical support included with the SPSS Statistics subscription and traditional licenses?

Yes, for support with your subscription, log in to your My IBM account. On the products page, click the “Manage” button next to your SPSS Statistics subscription listing and then click “Product support”, located on the left side menu, to select a support option. Traditional licenses include 12 months of technical support.

Do I have to be online to use the subscription license?

The SPSS Statistics subscription can be used offline, but it requires a user to authenticate their license at least once every two weeks. A working internet connection is required for this step. We recommend that you download the free trial subscription to ensure compatibility prior to making purchase.

Is the free trial identical to the Base subscription?

No, the free trial includes all add-on features. If you decide to purchase a Base subscription, be sure to check which add-ons are appropriate for your needs and include them at checkout.
