Заводим Sierra на китайской материнской плате Huanan X79 2.46 + Xeon E5-2660

У меня Huanan X79 2.46, E5-2660, 4 планки по 4Gb DDR3 ECC REG, видеокарта GTX950, SSD Kingston V300 на 240Gb.
Так что если у вас другая видеокарта, то ряд пунктов могут быть другими.

1. В BIOS я только виртуализацию отключил.
2. Создаем SSDT под наш процессор
3. Закидываем ssdt.aml в папку загрузчика EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/
4. Добавляем фиксы DSDT в config.plist

5. Добавляем аргументы загрузки в config.plis: -v darkwake=no npci=0x2000 kext-dev-mode=1 rootless=0 nvda_drv=1

6. Добавляем необходимые kext’ы. У меня это: AHCIInjector, AppleALC, AppleHDA, CodecCommander, FakeSMC, GenericUSBXHCI, NullCPUPowerManagement, RealtekRTL8111, USBInjectAll, VoodooTSCSync

7. Ставим Smbios MP 6.1 или IM 14,2. Я поставил iMac, чтобы не плясать с бубном для завода видеокарты.

1. Меняем SMBIOS на iMac 14,2. Нужно чтобы с минимумом манипуляций завести видеокарты на ядре NVIDIA Maxwell
2. Устанавливаем Web Driver
3. Дописываем в config.plist

4. Добавляем nvda_drv=1 в аргументы загрузчика

Все работае: сеть, звук, видеокарта, все 16 потоков, сон.

Загрузчик Clover для HUANANZHI X79 VER 2.49PB LGA2011 + Xeon E5-2650 v2 и macOS Mojave

Можно самостоятельно собрать из подходящих комплектующих компьютер для mac, который будет работать также хорошо как и оригинал, но для запуска системы нужен загрузчик Clover для HUANANZHI X79. В отличие от Windows, которая работает на любых конфигурациях, macOS по дефолту поддерживает не самый большой ассортимент железа, но при этом всём можно собрать хорошо работающий хак даже из того что есть на Ali Express.

Но самым лучшим вариантом будет LGA 2011 и вот почему:

• Платы стоят одинаково, но возможностей больше
• Поддержка 4х канального режима памяти пров 2х канального на 1155, и 3х канального на 1366
• Поддержка дешевой ecc reg памяти даже на дешёвых платах и планок памяти до 16гб, в отличии от 1155, т.к на данной платформе не все платы дружат с серверной памятью даже при установке серверного процессора.
• Наличие в продаже материнских плат с полноценным NVME слотом для высокоскоростных ssd накопителей.

Из всех китайских плат под сокет 2011 можно выбрать E5 HUANANZHI X79 VER 2.49PB. Различный варианты плат, например X79 Turbo V1.03. Есть также и компактные варианты плат. Яркий тому пример: Jingsha x79 v0.1.

На данный момент на Китайском рынке очень большой выбор не дорогих Б/У Процессоров под серверный сокет LGA2011. Для нашей сборки мы выбрали процессор e5-2650v2 именно v2, а не v1, потому что второе поколение это ivy bridge, а первое это sandy bridge. На процессорах 1 поколения на macOS 10.14.0 и новее невозможно завести speedstep и turboboost!

Note: You’re nothing but an a-hole if you sell EFI folder (config) that’s readily available for free.

Budget X79 Xeon Build

EFI Folder (Clover) and config required for an X79 8-Core Xeon macOS High Catalina Hackintosh.

• Proceed with caution.
• Tested on macOS Catalina 10.15.2.
• EFI folder is N/A for Opencore bootloader. Go ahead though, if you know what you’re doing.
• Applicable for direct upgrade from High Sierra or Mojave.
• The EFI folder is applicable to SSD hot-swap also. ie, if you’re planning to swap SSD from a MacBook Pro to ThinkPad 530.

Before You Proceed

You should modify the EFI (a lot) if your system specs are different. I use the settings for my motherboard. Huanan X79 is another motherboard similar to mine. The CPU type 0x0a01 I set in Clover is only applicable to 8-core CPU models. You should edit that out if your CPU config is different. Also, note that I’ve manually set my system memory info (4x 8GB) within the SMBIOS in Clover. You should edit that as well.

If things go south, use the clover settings attached in the starter-EFI folder. You can use it as a starter. But then you’ve to tweak settings a bit more.

• Catalina update broke my LAN. I use a WiFi adapter for the time being. I added Realtek WLAN kexts (RtWlanU & RtWlanU1827) to use with the Comfast USB Wi-Fi adapter. You should edit the config. according to your preferences.
• I’ve got a lot of other Kexts in place for sensors, just ignore or remove those.

You may proceed with the default settings for Ant Country X79 Basic. It may vary if you’re using another motherboard.

• Ethernent (for the time being). I use a WiFi adapter, so no plans to fix that soon.
• iMessage & Facetime.(it’ll work after SMBIOS edits)

How to create a bootable macOS Catalina USB install drive? (on Windows)

Install Transmac on a Windows machine. It has a 15-day trial period and works flawlessly flashing DMG files to USB.

Download the latest MacOS 10.15.2 with clover DMG file from here or other sources you come across Google SERP.

Download the EFI folder from this repo.

Connect a 16 GB USB flash drive.

Open Transmac. In the left pane, right-click the USB Drive and select Format Disk for Mac

Again in the left pane, right-click the USB Drive and select Restore with Disk Image. Then select the DMG file I mentioned in (2). Flashing process will take a few minutes depending on the size of .dmg and speed/port of the USB drive.

Locate the USB drive in DiskGenius. Delete the EFI folder and replace it with the new EFI folder.

Plug the USB drive into the PC and boot from USB.

Format the disk drive to APFS, install macOS Catalina, and restart the system.

Connect Hackintosh system to the Internet via USB tethering or a Mac-compatible external WiFi adapter.

Download & install Clover Configurator on MacOS. Open EFI partition and copy -> paste the the EFI folder once more.

You may use Karabiner-Elements if the keyboard mappings (command and option) are acting up.

I would like to ask for some advice or help even.

I have had some usability issues in the past with my hackintosh so I installed Mojave for the second time but it keeps producing the same exact problem. Most of the time the system stutters and lags after login. The app icons just bounce if I want to open them and even if it does it takes forever. Another thing I picked up on is that it seems like there’s no internet access whenever this occurs. The problem ceases after like 2-3 restarts and everything is back to normal.

What could cause an issue like this? I had the same thing happening with my previous install but I thought that was because of unnecessary kexts I left in the EFI. I only have the bare minimum required this time so I’m kinda lost.

Graphics: Radeon Vega 64 8OC
CPU: Intel i7 8700k
Ram: 32 Gig
SSD: Samsung Evo 860 250gb

I also have a separate HDD with Windows 10 installed for gaming purposes. I would greatly appreciate any kind of help, thanks in advance!

I managed to install Mojave on my MSI GP62-6QE laptop with somewhat success. The only annoying thing left is that everytime I shut it down it seemingly kernel panics and I get the «Your computer has restarted because of a problem» at startup.

I tried many different things such as removing emuvariablesuefi64, checking FixShutdown in CloverConfig but it seems the NVRAM is causing this issue.

I have deleted the nvram file from the EFI partition but it seems stuck somewhere else, I can’t clear out the nvram from the terminal or in single user mode as it returns a «Not permitted» error.
Clearing out the nvram by pressing F11 at the boot menu screen works however.

macOS Mojave almost supports everything except for Intel Wi-Fi card which can be fixed with itlwm.kext and Heliport application which were developed by OpenIntelWireless project developers (thanks guy/s or gal/s)

Here is the list of supported Intel Wi-Fi adapters that will work with itlwn.kext and Heliport.

About activating the Wi-Fi you need to run the Heliport application which replaces macOS’s built-in Wi-Fi menu and you can scan and connect to all the available Wi-Fi networks around you.
You need to add the Heliport.app to “Login Items” under the Users & Groups in System Preferences for it to load with macOS.

Another issue with the Intel Wi-Fi and the macOS that I encountered is that the Signal Strength drops but it hasn’t disrupt my network connectivity so far so it could be a bug.

Sleep works fine with macOS Mojave but I had no luck getting it to work on Catalina and Big Sur (I didn’t even try that hard to get it to work anyways because I like Mojave better lol).

What not works:
The only thing that doesn’t work is the AirDrop which is because of the Intel Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and if you replace the Wi-Fi+BT card with a supported Broadcom adapter will work eventually.
