It’s really weird. At first, everything seemed OK. I played first few levels without a single problem. Then, in «act 3» I think, I started to experience this very problem. Same in «act 4».
I tried to run it in window and nothing changed, just like you said. But after a few days or weeks, I tried again. It was running perfectly fine in a window. The weird thing was, the WHOLE GAME was in slow motion when I tried the fullscreen again. Every animation, everything on a menu screen, the whole thing.
I just tried it after a week or so and it’s not playable even in window (not like I’ve ever wanted to play this in a god damn window anyway). There’s still some serious lag. I’m really dissapointed, because this was my most anticipated game of the year. and the very first game I’ve bought right after launch. I won’t do the same mistake again.
( btw my specs: 2,7 GHz i7, 4GB RAM, Intel HD 3000, OS X 10.10.2 )
I informed the devs about the mac issue on the day of release. So far, aparantly, there’s hasn’t been any patches to resolve this issue. The devs obviously don’t give a f*** about Mac users.
Anyone found a fix for this? I’ve been looking all over, but no luck. Seems like this is a common problem for gamemaker games on OSX thou.
Until now, my HM2 works perfect on my late 2009 iMac, running OS X 10.10.4
2,8 Ghz i7, 10GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB
In my opinion the Intel-GPU can’t handle the HM2 graphics that well.
Ok. I’ve found a workaround.
* Start HM2 -> Options -> Graphics -> 1024×640 -> full screen off -> Quit HM2
* Go to system preferences in osx-> Displays -> Set display to 1024×640
* Start HM2
* Go back to system preferences in osx -> Displays -> Set display to 1280×800
* Activate the window thats running HM2 and press the full screen button on the window bar
This will get you a window with black bars on top/bottom and the sides and not true full screen, because you’ve just tricked HM2 to think that your max rez is 1024×640. This runs buttery smooth for me, AND it keeps the courser from activating the doc and the top bar etc etc. This makes all my previous problems go away.
It introduces a weird new problem for me. For some reason, if i put the cross-hair as far as i can top/bottom/left/right, the game won’t register mouse clicks. This sucks, cause i get killed all the time forgetting about this and also its quite crippeling having to think about keeping the cross-hair as close to the center as possible (which is also at times impossible as you try to lock aim on a distant enemy) Anyway. I finally got it running smooth and without the mouse flying wild in finder.

Hotline Miami 2 – заслуживающий особого внимания Индии-проект, который по сути, является сиквелом первой части. Нужно отметить тот факт, что данная вторая часть завершает все начатые сюжетные линии и, по всей вероятности, является заключительной в серии. В игре появились градации сложности режимов — самый сложный из них становится активным только после полного прохождения в остальных.
Разработчики включили в проект сразу 13 действующих лиц, за которых вам и предстоит играть. У каждого из них своя собственная история и способности, некоторые герои вполне знакомы многим из прошлых выпусков, а некоторые появились впервые, но их наличие соответствует сюжетной линии и является логичным. В общем-то, вторая часть Hotline Miami стала значительно сложнее для прохождения, хотя сюжет остался практически без изменений.

История в игре подаётся поэтапно, в виде обрывков, без соблюдения временных эпох. Идёт очередной этап гонки вооружений с Советским союзом, США находится не в самом лучшем положении. Отряд под командованием Дэна, получает приказ захватить вражескую территорию, но выполнить это практически невозможно.
Все же Дэн всё-соглашается выполнить приказ руководства и героически прорывается на ключевую высоту. Вскоре, после победоносного прорыва отряд оказывается никому не нужен, и его распускают.
Спустя несколько лет СССР наносит ядерный удар по территории США, и начинается новый виток приключений для Дэна с соратниками и новыми персонажами. Примите участие в масштабных боевых сражениях за свободу и независимость Соединенных Штатов Америки!
