[Solved] Graphic acceleration possible on GTX 550 Ti?

Hi guys, I have recently successfully installed Mac Mojave 14.1. Initially my graphic card was working with just inject Nvidia but there was no acceleration. Then I came across this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/nvidia-update-simple-way-to-install-nvidia-web-drivers.244987/

Drivers installed and I managed to make Nvidia web driver as default from problem 6 from this post — really helpful guides! https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solving-nvidia-driver-install-loading-problems.161256/

I now have web drivers running and there seems to be a bit of improvement from before but when I tried to run an editing software, I found my graphics configuration does not support hardware acceleration. Is it because my build is old and not support acceleration or does my config requires modifications. I would appreciate any help, thanks.

GTX 550 Ti and OS X Mavericks (10.9)

I have a working installation of 10.9 on my system and apart having to use the freezefix application to fix the problem with fermi based cards, everything is pretty swell.

However I have noticed that my graphics card is always around 60 degrees, I know this is in the safe region but this is certainly higher than it has been in Lion and Mountain Lion. Also the LuxMark benchmark (even using the updated version for 10.9) is considerably lower than the score in ML, and lower than Lion.

Has anyone else noticed drops in performance with their graphics card in 10.9? Please note that my lower benchmark is reflecting the drop in fps I have seen in Team Fortress 2, not the most intensive game by any means (used to get a constant 60 fps), now it bounces down to 30 regularly.

To summarise, anyone know what’s with the higher temperatures and decrease in performance?

Gtx 550 ti Artifacts After Web Drivers install

I am having artifacts on the screen. Installed Sierra 10.12.2 and web drivers. It starts after I install web drivers. It all starts just after the boot no need to run a software. Using the same build with windows installed and no problems. Trying to fix that weirdness with graphics before coming to USB and Audio. Installed as Mac Pro 6,1.

My DSDT and config.plist is in attachment.

Components are;
Supermicro X10DAL (Intel C612 chipset)
Dual XEON e5-2658 v3
GTX 550 TI

Appreciate for any help

Edit: I have tried the older drivers today but still no luck.

Have you got the GTX 550Ti to work yet?

I have the same problem with the driver for GTX 550Ti when upgraded to Sierra 10.12.2 that give me a black screen after booting has passed the Apple logo. I had followed instruction using the nvidia webdriver and edited the Config.plist to load the webdriver. The driver loaded ok giving me a beautiful dock at the bottom however, the background is still black and shown incorrect resolution when I open any application. The only app that work perfectly is the Safari.

My system definition is iMac 14,4
Sierra 10.12.2 (16C67)
GTX 550Ti (graphics is NVIDIA chip Model 5 MB).

I also have the same issue with GTX 550Ti, my first attempt was very promising, only the icons are missing, but the next and the next and the nth next, it got all the bars and background messed up.

на первый взгляд всё работает,графика,bt+wifi по умолчанию,звука нет,думаю ждать надо обновление кекста applealc,но не у всех,вуду звук работает

лови,тут две,день и ночь,третья динамичная работать не будет в 10.12
p/s сегодня проверил,в 10.13 работает динамичная
нет смены,как обычная картинка висит

Что-то у меня 630 через арбитрари не стартует — с 0х000000000 индикатором установил в системе видно 630 памяти 7 мб)
На 10,13.5 все хорошо

Попробовал Mojave 10.14, система как система, отличий от 10.13.5 считай нет, но темная тема явно не для меня, аж глаза режет, применение разных режимов не особо помогает, RGB еще нормально. Вручную «полировать» цветовую схему в лом если честно. А так нормально, работает

UEFI bios:
1. Скидываем все настройки в default.
2. AHCI — enable;
3. Vt-d: Disable (+ в Clover дропнуть DMAR таблицу)
4. Vt-x: Enable (только для 10.13 и если используете виртуальные машины)
5. Intel Virtualization Technology — Enable
6. Serial-port: Disable
7. XHCI Hand-off: Disable (рекомендуеться)
8. XHCI Hand-off: Enabled (только если что то не работает в режиме Disable )
9. IOAPIC 24-119 Entries: Enabled (подмечено что у многих с этим пунктом паникует, поэтому тестируйте)
10. CSM: Disable (по возможности)
11. Fasboot: Disable
12. Secure boot: Disable or Other OS

Legacy bios:

AHCI: enable;

HPET: enable;

Vt-d: disable;

ACPI Suspend Type — S3 (Only);

No Execute memory — enable;

USB Legacy — enable;

Отключаем всю периферию (вебки, смарты, блютуз-свистки, кард-ридеры и т.д.)

Для установки потребуется флешка не менее 8Гб.

1. ПК на ОС Windows XP/7/8.
2. Скачать утилиту Boot Disk Utility с страницы разработчика cvad или с форума applelife.ru со страницы посвящённой данной утилите.
3. Установить по инструкции
4. Зайти на флешку в папку EFI\CLOVER\ и удалить папку OEM и файл config-sample (не путать с config.plist).
5. Зайти на https://github.com/aci…pleSupportPkg/releases скачать ApfsDriverLoader.efi и скопировать его в папку EFI\CLOVER\drivers64UEFI (необходимо для macOs 10.13 и выше!)
6. Добавить в EFI\CLOVER\Kext\Other https://github.com/acidanthera/Lilu/releases
7. Добавить в EFI\CLOVER\Kext\Other https://github.com/aci…WhateverGreen/releases
8. Скачать образ Mac OS X по указанным ссылкам:
   Нажми и качай!
9. Развернуть скаченный образ на подготовленную флешку.
   1. Инструкция с applelife.ru пункт «Заливка дистрибутива macOS на второй том загрузочного USB Flash drive:«:
   2. Перед распаковкой образа необходимо нажать кнопку ^Format disk^.
   3. В основном окне программы -> Destination Disk — выбираем наш USB Flash Drive -> Part2.
   4. Нажимаем кнопку «Restore Partition».
   5. В открывшемся окне проводника выбираем распакованный файл с расширением *.hfs.
10. Тем, кто устанавливает на ноутбук (или имеет PS/2 мышь или клавиатуру) , обязательно скачать VoodooPS2Controller.kext.zip ( 97,46 КБ )
    , новая версия: VoodooPS2Controller.kext.zip ( 93,86 КБ )
    положить в папку EFI/CLOVER/KEXT/10.X или Other
11. Всё, установочная флешка готова, можно приступать к установке.

Установить один из загрузчиков на диск (если он не входит в состав сборки) :
— Загрузчик №1 — Clover (рекомендуется для большинства пользователей);
Как это сделать: UEFI, Legacy BIOS.
— Загрузчик №2 — OpenCore (для опытных пользователей)
— Загрузчик №3 — Chameleon (на данный момент существует для очень старых систем и особых случаев);
*загрузчик устанавливаем только один, на ваш выбор

После входа в macOS первое, что делаем:

1. Устанавливаем кекст для сетевой карты;
2. Настраиваем SMbios;
3. «Заводим» видео-карту (разрешение должно быть правильным, и верхняя строка прозрачная);
4. Поднимаем «нативное управление питанием» процессора;
5. Поднимаем звук через AppleALC или VoodooHDA

21. Ставим програмулинки и «рюшечки».

Can’t get Mac to boot up using nVidia GTX 550ti

I haven’t installed a hackintosh since 10.10.3, so it’s been a while.

I got the hackintosh (OS X 10.11.2) installed using Clover. (When I install on my setup, I have to unplug the cable to the graphics card and install using the onboard graphics Intel HD Graphics 4600). Was able to run multibeast. Got the network driver to run. Can’t get the audio driver to run, but I made a post about that in a different thread.

I’m trying to get my graphics card to work. I have the nVidia GTX 550ti.

So far I installed the CUDA driver 7.5.21. I also installed the nVidia Web Driver 346.03.04f01. I turned off the computer, plugged my graphics card back in. Went to boot menu and selected my mackintosh. A black background with an apple logo appears with a bar. The bar goes halfway, then the screen goes black and the computer stops working.

So thats where I’m at so far. Not sure what my next step is.
