Gt9800 mac os x

Сегодня обновил только clover(установил 4937).

9800 GT macOS Sierra 10.12

It seems like something major has changed with graphics in Sierra. The GT 610 is having the same issues you described, has worked OOB with InjectNvidia in both Yosemite and El Capitan but no one has figured out how to make it work in Sierra. Sorry I’m not much help but it will just take some time to hopefully find a solution.

The GT 710 is working OOB though.

Thanks alot. so iMac14,2 it is.

Edit : Just tried this and didn’t work. I had a kernel panic to do with «NVDASTARTUP. » and now won’t boot even with nv_disable=1. So I used the USB installer to get here and post this.

Im sorry about that! . in my case I used clover configurator to change SMBIOS settings a couple of times, tried MacPro and two other iMacs except 14,2 — and that did not cause me any boot issues other than the black screen. When I got finally got there, after Flor!ans suggestion, and set it up I did not rush. I used nv_disable at first to make sure the SMBIOS changes settled and when nvidia drivers where installed and ready I removed it and rebooted. And it worked great.

Now the system works great, and after doing some extra settings for iMessage (MLB etc) that also works. I use two step verification with Apple which I think makes a difference in trust level.

Thanks for the answer!

So, I erased the HD and it has the macOS Sierra now installed, then I don’t have acess to the nvdastartup.kext anymore. Can you please disponibilize it for download? This will help others as well.

I’ve just overwritten /System/Library/Extensions/NVDAStartup.kext in a fresh Sierra installation with NVDAStartup.kext from El Capitan, then rebuilt the kernel cache as described in kextcache man page (sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions; kextcache -update-volume /Volumes/Sierra).

This solves the video issue, but I still have another problem: SpeedStep seems not to work correctly, the CPU always runs at minimum clock

Back to Yosemite for now.

Thanks andewosei, I’ve tried ssdtPRgen.sh, unfortunately my old faithful i5-750 is not included in the supported processors. It should be possible to insert the required data, but I did’t have the time to try.

I thought a solution might be to use iMac11,1 (oldest iMac supported by Sierra, based on i5-750) as system definition, but this brings other problems, most notably USB not working (no mouse/keyboard).

I give up for now: the system is 6 years old anyway, and El Capitan works fine with MacPro3,1 system definition (graphics, SpeedStep, sound, sleep and all the rest); for Sierra I will put a new system together in the next few months

I have a Lenovo T530 Laptop running Catalina which I have fully working configs for OpenCore 0.6.1 as well as Clover 5120.

I am using it with a ThinkPad Minidock Series 3 Dock where I put the notebook in which has USB connectos, DVI connector, etc. Since I installed the supplemental update for 10.15.6, the display no longer turns on when connecting to that DVI port on the dock. Interestingly, the notebook display reacts to plugging in the external monitor but the monitor doesn’t turn on. It worked just fine right before the supplemental update.

I am sure this has something to do with the graphics fix for 5k monitors mentioned in the changelog. Is there any way to fix this?

For now I can use the output of the mini display port on the Laptop with a dvi adapter as a Workaround but I’d like to have the port on the dock working again.

I’m having some trouble with connecting my new 3rd monitor to my machine.
First off, here is some info about my build:

macOS High Sierra 10.13.5
CPU: Intel i7 Coffee Lake 8700k
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING
Running on Clover. (config.plist attachment below)

Monitors:
DELL U2718Q 4K
iiyama ProLite XUB2792UHSU 4K
Phillips HD Monitor

So the problem is:
I bought the iiyama to use as a 3rd monitor. Previously I was using the DELL through a DisplayPort, and the Phillips through HDMI which worked fine.
When I first got the iiyama monitor and I plugged it in everything was working great. The next day I boot up my machine and it will freeze on a black screen after I boot macOS through the clover bootscreen. I unplugged the new monitor, restarted the machine and it would boot normally again.

I started trying some different inputs and nothing seemed to solve the problem. All that I know is that the machine freezes as soon as I plug in a 3rd cable, doesnt matter if its HDMI or DP. I even bought a HDMI to DP cable for the Phillips, to see if it was an HDMi problem, but even then it doesn’t work. I’ve also tried powering the monitors off and turning them on once the machine has booted. Also no luck.

Any help from one of you Hackintosh guru’s would be highly appreciated. I bought the 3rd screen to make working from home even more efficient, but sadly enough my build won’t allow me.
